Goes home. Posts. Takes life.

Hi. If anyone still actually reads this.
ESPECIALLY FELLOW BLOGGER/LIFE-TAKERS! WHY HAS OUR COMMUNAL EMAIL DIED?

Just thought I'd share this:

A Chinese road-side artist's interpretation of NK and her sister. NK's the one without glasses....
my...the likeness would be uncanny if NK was wearing her nurse's uniform. Maybe I'll do another version when I have time ;)
Will this be my future job as a failed artist? I certainly hope not...

I keep posting about NK. Because her life is CLEARLY more eventful than mine. hoho.
I got a flickr btw, just thought I'd pimp it out http://www.flickr.com/photos/candycutstheinsideofyourmouth Its got photos of my artwork and such... I'll try to continue the communal email once I think of something to write about. We need to catch up!

Goes home. Writes about books and movies. Takes life

Hello there.
I've decided to post about some stuff that I found interesting that you guys might enjoy.

A very good book by the author of "everyone's favorite book" The Catcher in the Rye. Regrettably, this used to be one of my favorite books as well. Actually it probably still is. Anyways, its about a dysfunctional family of child geniuses (not unlike the Royal Tenenbaums).

Moving on...if you haven't watched Where The Wild Things Are, go watch it already! It's quite fantastic, and left me with the bittersweet feeling of lost childhood innocence. The lead actor kid Max Records was adorable!

Another great movie I just watched was "Tokyo!", directed by (one of my favorite directors) Michel Gondry, Joon-ho Bong and Leos Carax. Its amazing! Not for everyone's tastes of course. It's quite offbeat, quirky and somewhat disturbing.
Just the way I like it.

I also finally watched The Illusionist, which is in no way better than The Prestige! Because it's too happy and not dark enough.

OH btw I added new quotable quotes from the genius sexy nurse cyborg in the quotes section. Please check it out and laugh along.

Goes home. Sees amazing apartment. Takes life

Hey guys. I saw the apartment my parents were interested in today. Here are some pictures to sum up the experience:
These are just the communal areas in the building btw. There was still someone living in the actual apartment, and I don't think she'd appreciate if I posted pictures of her dirty laundry on the internet.

Rooftop terrace deck.

Private gym. Complete with sauna

Outdoor fireplace

Theatre for movies!

Hallways with dramatic lighting.

Fiberglass Deerheads!

Four-cornered lounge chairs

Dining area

Lastly, no post of mine would be complete without a fake polaroid!

Goes home. Rushes. Takes life.

So I'm in econ class (why am I always in econ class?!) and it is boring as hell. My professor can't teach and he ALWAYS uses ice cream to illustrate his examples. And that bothers me, because I don't really like ice cream. If I had a dollar for every time he talked about ice cream...yeah you get the point. Anyway, it's the third week of classes and they're going pretty well so far! I have a three page essay for English due tomorrow. I haven't started. Who cares :D I don't know if you guys know, but I'm rushing to join a sorority (I can just see NK rolling her eyes right now). Yesterday was the first day of recruitment, and it was so much fun. We went around to all five houses (they are SO cute. I love them) to meet the sisters and it took like six freaking hours haha. My feet hurt so much from walking in heels...but yeah, we had to rank them at the end of the night and we visit four on Wednesday but we don't know which ones until tomorrow because the sororities rank us too. I have no idea how that works. My bottom two were Phi Sigma Sigma and Alpha Sigma Alpha. Phi Sig weren't very friendly/outgoing like you'd expect them to be (after all, they want us to come back, right?). I was talking to this one girl and she's like "You're from China? That's random." and she rolled her eyes and walked away LOL. And Alpha Sigma Alpha was just boring. All the other houses had really obvious personalities and ASA was just...boring. Yeah. And I don't think I made the best impression because I was talking to this chick and she asked about my hobbies and I was like "Blah blah blah...theater blah...music blah...choir blah..." and she asked if I was doing any of that here at Drexel and I got all giddy and was like "YEAH! I got into TrebleMakers!" And she went all quiet and was like "...I auditioned for that last year...I didn't get in..." *Awkward turkey*
But yeah, I'm pretty excited for round two. I'll let you all know how it goes haha. I have my first TrebleMakers rehearsal tonight. Yay :]
PS--I'm posting this on my personal blog too. I'm lazy like that.
